Dear Diary,
I just got my wisdom teeth out on Monday, and one unexpected outcome is that this is a really good way to shed a few pounds. Eating solid food is out of the question, and since after you eat anything at all you have to "irrigate the sockets," eating anything at all just never sounds like that great of a plan. I have heard horror stories about people getting food stuck in the holes and having it ferment. Which sounds awful. The whole thing is pretty gross. I was terrified to get them pulled out and I'm glad it's over. Afterwards when I was on all the drugs I asked them if they had my teeth still, and they said that they're in the biohazard waste. I was annoyed, that's four dollars that I am not getting from the tooth fairy. The whole process was interesting though, getting put under and all. I had never had that before.
I spent the day reading outside on our basketball court. It was about 90 degrees so to beat the heat I put on the ice pack that wraps around my head that they gave me after I got my teeth pulled. quite effective, much more than a mini fan or a cold drink or something. I must have looked awesome, girl in white bikini with gold polka dots on purple towel, with huge white ice bandage wrapped around her entire face.
Love,
Diana
