Dear Diary,
Today I am sitting in my room, and my roommate Teal comes in and is like, "why do you have golf tees and candy corn all over your floor?" I didn't know what to say. I was in a hurry.
I got my bronco back from the shop today, and to celebrate we took it through the car wash. I have never seen a more magnificent vehicle emerge from a car wash. All the grease fingerprints got cleaned off, and because the car wash beats the crap out of your paint, it removed all the flaky chipping paint from the hood, so the hood is all smooth for the first time in a long time. Now if only I could get the hood to seal all the way, and the interior light working. And the horrible oil smell out of the interior. It's so close to perfection, I love my bronco so much. who knew?
Love,
Diana

Dear Diary,
Today I had literally nothing to do except my homework. And it was rainy, so clearly I couldn't go running or ride my bike (would I have done that anyway? let's be realistic...) I managed to spend quite a bit of time watching tv, re-reading Jane magazine, baking tasty things out of boxes, and cruising for wedge boots online- and I still got homework done! I think this is how it needs to be. I need to have absolutely no other obligations whatsoever, and then I can have a satisfactory ratio of sitting on my ass/to doing homework. Also, all essays need to be assigned as under 3 pages and all reading packets need to be 10 pages or less. I suppose it was just my lucky weekend. I went to Starbucks (about a block away from my house, tops) and wrote my essay, and I'm pretty sure half of Lewis and Clark Law School was there. There was a couple sitting next to me, a cute girl and a dorky guy, who kept talking about how they were supposed to be studying together but they weren't getting anything done. because they couldn't stop flirting. It made me a bit wistful. And i had to make up a story in my head about them- how he had barely gotten into law school and was trying really hard to be as successful as his big time trial lawyer lawyer, meanwhile going through a major dry spell in his love life. How she was with some dude long distance but it wasn't working out. He had realized that study-buddy was the perfect girl for him in every way, however it would take her a few more weeks to recognize her feelings for him, and break it off with long distance boy... They would fall in love and get married, but only after they both finish the bar exam, and then have 3 kids and buy a ranch style house in Tigard. I suppose I could have made up a more interesting life story for the two of them, but seriously, they are law students in Oregon, how interesting can it be?
Love,
Diana
